You deserve a roofer who picks up the phone.
You've heard the stories: storm chasers who vanish after the check clears, denied claims nobody explains, a roof that leaks again next spring. Blue Arrow Roofing is the Kansas City team homeowners and boards actually keep in their phone — because we explain the work, document the damage, and stand behind the roof.

Who We Are
From MLK Blvd, for the whole metro. Neighbors first.
Blue Arrow Roofing is a family-run, Black- and Latino-owned roofing company based on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd by Swope Park. We work every side of Kansas City — 1950s bungalows in Blue Hills and Santa Fe, ranches in Raytown and Ruskin, 1990s subdivisions in Overland Park and Lee's Summit — and we're the crew people call when a storm hits or an insurer says no.
On this side of town a new roof can cost a quarter of what the house is worth, so Domonick starts every visit the same way: photos, a straight answer on whether it's a repair, a claim, or a replacement, and what each one would actually cost you. Then the decision is yours.
- Repair-first — we don't sell roofs people don't need
- Black-owned, Latino-owned, family-run
- Free inspections with photos
- Insurance claims explained in plain English
Our Story
How Blue Arrow Started
A Kansas City operation built on one idea: stop getting scammed. Roofing done right.
Blue Arrow Roofing is a family-owned, Black-owned and Latino-owned roofing company. Our shop is at 4320 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, a few blocks from Swope Park, and our neighbors are in Blue Hills, Santa Fe, Ivanhoe, and Palestine. The houses here went up in the 1940s and 1950s. Most are on their third or fourth roof, and a full replacement can cost a quarter of what the house is worth. That is why Domonick Sanders runs the company the way he does. Too many neighbors were getting burned — by out-of-town crews that disappear after a storm, by insurance denials no one bothered to explain, and by “repairs” that leaked again the next hail season.
So two things are the point of everything we do. Repair first: if a $300 flashing fix buys the roof five more years, we say so and we do the repair. And insurance literacy: when a roof really is done, most families here pay for it through a claim, so we explain ACV versus RCV, the deductible, depreciation, and why claims get denied — in plain English, before anyone files. We never promise what a carrier will decide. We do make sure nobody on our blocks signs a contingency agreement on the porch or falls for a “waived” deductible, which is illegal in Missouri and Kansas.
The crew works the whole metro. The same week we reflash a chimney in Marlborough, we are installing a Class 4 impact-resistant roof through an HOA in Overland Park or Lee's Summit, where the questions are premium discounts, manufacturer warranties, and resale. We cover the full exterior: roof replacement, roof repair, storm damage restoration, insurance-claim help, commercial roofing, gutters, and siding, with GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, and Malarkey systems. Straight pricing and photo-documented inspections on both sides of the state line.
Community-driven isn't a tagline. Every August we host a free back-to-school supply giveaway at Swope Park, and we show up for the neighborhoods we work in year-round. Browse our recent work or book a free inspection — we reply within one business day.

Meet the owner
Domonick Sanders
Domonick runs Blue Arrow the way he'd want his own roof handled: he shows up, gets on the roof himself, photographs everything, and explains it in plain English — including when the answer is “you don't need a new roof.” If you've seen the videos where he reads a denied claim line by line, that's him.

Roofing done right
Why Kansas City calls Blue Arrow
No pressure, no games with your deductible, no roof you don't need. Just a straight answer from a crew that lives here.
Repair first, if a repair will do
A lot of 1950s roofs on the East Side need a $300–$800 fix, not a $12,000 replacement. We photograph it and tell you which one you've got.
Insurance, in plain English
ACV vs. RCV, depreciation holdbacks, "replace it or lose coverage" letters, denied hail claims — we meet the adjuster on-site and read every line with you.
Built for Kansas City weather
Spring hail, straight-line wind, ice dams. Ice-and-water shield, proper ventilation, and Class 4 impact-resistant shingles where they earn their keep — including an insurance discount.
From the neighborhood
Black-owned, Latino-owned, based on MLK Blvd. Storm-chasers door-knock these blocks after every hailstorm and vanish. We're still here in December.
Storm Damage · Insurance Claims
After the storm, one call handles the whole thing.
Emergency tarp, photo-documented inspection, help filing, an on-site meeting with your adjuster, and a written scope that matches what your policy actually covers. On an approved claim your out-of-pocket is usually just your deductible.
And no — we can't “waive” that deductible. It's illegal in Missouri and Kansas, and anyone offering to is the reason claims get denied.
